About the Fraserburgh Development Trust

Who are we?

The Fraserburgh Development Trust is a membership-led charity, formed by the Fraserburgh community for the purpose of improving, sustaining and regenerating the local community.

The main goal of the Fraserburgh Development Trust is to work with the community to bring improvements to Fraserburgh and its surrounding area:

  • To help Fraserburgh become a place where people want, and are able, to live in, work in, and visit
  • To create an active and vibrant economy with opportunities for all
  • To become a colourful, clean and safe environment with well connected public spaces, and
  • To develop a community that is healthy, integrated, confident, and one that everyone feels involved in

Our mission is to be a community led vehicle for positive change in Fraserburgh. The FDT seeks to bring together the interests of the community and aims to meet its needs through taking on the role of a coordinator. In this role, we will be responsible for finding and securing resources that will be used to attain the community's objectives. We are also focused on discovering and utilising the strengths and skills of community members, allowing the AB43 residents to achieve positive change for themselves.

With over 200 members, we are continuing to grow, allowing more members of the Fraserburgh community to be involved in important decisions that will impact the AB43 area.

We are always welcoming new members to the Trust, and would love for you to join us. Together we can achieve what our community wants and needs. If you live or work in Fraserburgh and you want to support your community by joining the Trust please read our members page for more information.
