Our Residents
The Hub

For the past year, the Fraserburgh Development Trust has been focusing a large part of its energy on the regeneration of the old Fraserburgh Football Social Club.

The disused building on Fraserburgh's High Street had become something of an eyesore for the locals, and, after consulting the AB43 community on their feelings towards the building, the FDT recognised its potential - its prime location and spacious inside. We therefore decided that, for our first major project, we would purchase and subsequently renovate the building for the benefit of the community.

Thanks to help and funding from the Town Centre Regeneration Fund and also Aberdeenshire Council, the project was made possible. In early 2011, the building's renovations were completed, and we now have an office based within it. But the Hub is not just for the use of the Fraserburgh Development Trust. The restoration of the building has left it with several spacious and contemporary rooms, ranging in size from 194 sq ft, to 440 sq ft. These are being leased to charities and voluntary organisations that the FDT feel AB43 would benefit from having in the town centre. Already, the Hub has become the Fraserburgh base for Home Start - the UK's leading family support organisation.

If you are an organisation who could benefit the Fraserburgh area and are interested in acquiring premises in the town centre please feel free to contact us.

Not only does the renovation of the Fraserburgh Football Social Club mean that locals no longer have to pass by an eyesore every day, but the use to which the building is being put will reap great benefits for the AB43 community.
